The PH850-DP from Apera Instruments is a compact, easy-to-use pH meter designed specifically for measuring the pH, ORP (electrode sold separately, e.g., 301Pt-C), and temperature of dairy products such as milk, yogurt, and buttermilk, as well as other liquid foods like jam, barbecue sauce, and syrup.

Equipped with the LabSen® 823 pH electrode, the PH850-DP is ideal for fast, accurate, and reproducible pH measurements. The electrode is designed to prevent blockage from proteins or sulfides, ensuring reliable performance in dairy and liquid foods. The electrode also features an integrated temperature sensor, which enables automatic temperature compensation (ATC) for accurate readings across varying temperatures.

The meter’s rugged silicone cover provides a secure grip and protects from shocks, while its IP57 waterproof and dustproof rating makes it suitable for field use in harsh environments. The large, illuminated LCD displays pH, temperature, and additional measurement information, making it easy to monitor results. Quick calibration is available with 1- to 3-point calibration settings, and the self-diagnosis feature helps with troubleshooting.
