Newtronic Photostability Chambers are specifically
designed for performing near UV and visual light testing using fluorescent
lamps, in compliance with ICH Q1B Guidelines, Option 2. These chambers
control both light and temperature conditions through an intuitive color
touch-screen interface. The uniform light distribution and high intensity
levels are ideal for forced degradation testing and confirmatory studies,
allowing researchers to identify necessary precautionary measures in
manufacturing or formulation. These studies also help determine if
light-resistant packaging is required.
At the end of the exposure period, samples can be examined
for any changes in physical properties (such as appearance, clarity, or color
of the solution) and for assay degradation. Newtronic Photostability
Chambers are fully controlled via the PLC, with additional features
such as alarms for aging lamps and auto-switch-off of UV lights upon door
opening. Specular reflective surfaces ensure uniform UVA & VIS light
reflection and proper SPD (Spectral Power Distribution). The
chambers also provide precise humidity control for the perfect testing
environment.
