Reagecon's Opalescence Reference Standard Stock Solution is used as a reference material to ascertain the clarity and degree of opalescence of liquids in accordance with Chinese Pharmacopoeia (ChP). This Primary Opalescence Suspension is a ready to use Standard presented in high quality, tamper evident bottles for use in calibrating Comparators, Turbidimeters and Nephelometers and for controlling the reproducibility of their measurements. This product is a formazin suspension prepared with equal parts hexamethylenetetramine solution and hydrazine sulphate solution. This combination is defined as a 4000 NTU (Nephelometric Turbidity Units) Primary Reference Standard. Manufactured gravimetrically according to European Pharmacopoeia Chapter 2 (2.2.1) guidelines with a balance Certificate of Calibration issued in accordance with ISO 17025 (A2LA Ref: 6739.02). Concentration verified using a high performance Spectrophotometer or Nephelometer. The Primary Opalescence Suspension maybe diluted in precise ratios to form the ChP Reference Opalescence Suspensions.
