Reagecon Total Base Number (TBN) Standard 10 mg/g Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) in Synthetic Base Oil Matrix is tested by our ISO 17025 Accredited Test Method (A2LA Ref: 6739.03). This high quality standard can be used to calibrate; control or validate the methodology or equipment used to perform TBN testing according to ASTM Method D2896. Produced in accordance with ASTM D2896. Test method D2896 is used for both new and used petroleum products that may contain basic constituents that may be present as additives. The test method D2896 may also be used as a measure of lubricant degradation; but any condemning limits based on the test must be established on an individual basis. Standards are traceable to NIST. The method has a very low uncertainty of measurement. Stability is proven (either opened or unopened) for the shelf life of this product.
